The Archaeological Research Facility (ARF) at the University of California, Berkeley is a hub for archaeologists committed to community archaeology. ARF affiliates include Berkeley faculty and other archaeologists with connections to Berkeley. In addition to conducting community-oriented research, ARF affiliates seek to connect local residents with the material remains of their pasts.
For several years, the ARF has operated a public talks series designed to spread information about archaeology to wider audiences. The ARF’s YouTube channel is one of its most popular online platforms.
